Do you want a leadership role that makes a real difference in people's daily lives? We are looking for a secure and relationship-building Director of Administration for the Community Development Administration. The department encompasses a wide range of expertise distributed across four units: geodata, environment, planning and building, and rescue services. The Community Development Administration also includes an administrative unit that reports directly to the Director of Administration. As Director of Administration, you will hold a strategic key role in a municipality characterized by forward momentum, where your work helps shape our joint development forward.

The Director of Administration position is a five-year appointment with the possibility of extension. The permanent position is at the level of a qualified investigator. The position is full-time with a probationary period.

Areas of Responsibility

• Create a coordinated, efficient, and long-term development of the Community Development Administration.
• Be ultimately responsible for the administration's operations, economy, and personnel.
• Lead and develop the operations through the administration's four unit managers as well as the administrative unit.
• Actively participate in the municipality's strategic leadership group to drive the development of the entire municipality forward.
• Ensure that the administration delivers high quality in both regulatory authority, service, and treatment of citizens, politicians, and external actors.
• Represent the administration before the Community Development Board and independently drive and anchor complex processes in a politically governed organization.
• Work for transparent and close collaboration with the municipality's other administrations.
• Ensure high quality and good service in the administration's regulatory authority and drive change processes with a focus on digital tools and modern working methods.

Qualifications

• Relevant academic education, preferably within the field of community development.
• Several years of experience as a manager.
• Experience in regulatory authority within a politically governed organization.
• Knowledge of the community development process.
• Experience in organizational development and/or development processes.
• Experience of budget responsibility and understanding of the budget process in the municipal sector.

Meritorious:

• Experience from the level of Director of Administration, department manager, or rescue chief in the leadership group.
• Experience in successfully leading through other managers.
• Experience from community development administration or equivalent in another municipality.
• Experience in digitalization and implementation of digital tools.
